1. LinkedIn and the product industry are always flooded with exciting methods and frameworks, each one packaged just slightly differently than the last. I have watched dozens of them come and go, and most of them are supplements that carry the hype but leave the work fragmented.
2. Macro, meso, and micro is not another fragmented framework. It is the thread that holds an organisation together as one connected piece, keeping the team in clarity instead of fatigue. It connects the C-level, the manager, and the individual contributor along the same line; breaking work down from the top and gathering it back from the bottom.
3. The 3M frame also nests inside itself. The three scales divide the organisation at one altitude, and the same three scales divide a department or a person’s workload at a smaller one, so you can keep splitting as finely as the work needs.
