Challenge 1: When I had to choose between one person and the outcome

I replaced the UX/UI Lead on my team mid-project to protect the engagement.

Two sprints in, the UX/UI Lead reached a breaking point. Lockdown pressure and the friction with Muaban's PM had worn the relationship past the point of repair, and when he escalated concerns that were not reasonable given where we stood, I had to make a choice: keep him on and risk the client losing confidence in our team, or act. I brought in a replacement from my network within the week, and the project kept moving. The rest of the team, already accustomed to working through constraints, did not break stride.

My responsibility is to keep the work moving forward, and that sometimes costs me a person on my team.
