Move 3: The UX/Product call belongs to me
I kept the analysis open to every perspective, and the synthesis closed with my decision.
I laid out the tradeoffs and walked through the rationale, with every customer journey improvement tied back to a measurable business impact. When perspectives conflicted, I weighed them against UX evidence and product reality, then chose. I named what was being optimized for, what was being traded off, and why the choice held up under both lenses.
Listening stayed open, but the specialist call was mine to make, because owning the domain is what the manager is there for. And senior leaders told me they valued exactly that.
