Dear BD Team & Hiring Manager,
I'm writing to apply for the Senior Business Development Executive position. I know my CV will raise questions since I'm coming from a design and training background, so I want to address this directly.

Why I'm switching to business development:

I ran my own consultancy for 7 years and closed it in 2025. During the peak years, I built client relationships with brands like Momo, Domino's Pizza, and Generali. I launched a training business from zero to 29 cohorts through partnerships and word-of-mouth. I handled the entire sales cycle—finding clients, pitching, negotiating, closing deals.

Through that experience, I discovered what energizes me most is the business development side. That's where I added the most value and what I want to focus on full-time now, without the operational burden of running my own company.


What I bring that's relevant to this role:

  • Real BD experience: 7 years finding and managing clients in digital services, building partnerships, negotiating contracts
  • Agency understanding: I know how agencies work, what clients need, and how to scope projects realistically
  • Network: Through teaching 360+ people and organizing industry events, I have extensive connections across digital roles (designers, developers, PMs, BAs) from intern to senior level—useful for project scoping and market insights
  • Consultative approach: My product background lets me diagnose client problems and propose solutions backed by technical knowledge, not just pitch services. I build trust through expertise, which is how I won clients like Generali
  • Digital marketing landscape: I understand Vietnam's digital ecosystem through working with e-commerce clients and training professionals in this space


Why this position:

The role focuses on new client acquisition and partnership development—exactly what I've been doing. I've worked with both corporate and government sectors (including Military and Civilian divisions at Viettel), so I'm comfortable with different client types.

My digital product background helps me understand what agencies deliver and speak credibly about digital solutions. I can bridge business and technical conversations, which makes closing deals easier.
